T-Minus 30 days: A month of silence
Almost a month, no posts. Is it because I gave up? Threw in the towel? Because I want to get a full body wax?
I don't want to get a full body wax. If I fail to deliver by December 30th, that happens.
I have thirty days left. It is currently 10:13 pm and I wrote about 6k words today.
The problem is I'm still on the second book. I'd like to have committed to the third by now. The posts will be counting down, instead of up from now on.
It occurs to me that there is no proof, so far, that I have accomplished much. Hence the following screenshots of the chapter of Love and Taxi Queues. It's what I wrote after finishing 95% of the first book of Children of the Pantheon. It's what I've been doing instead of posting.
There are some spoilers, in that you see chapter names and a sentence or so. It's all first vomit drafts (went from Prisha's forarms Jesus god), but it's progress.
There's a longer extract from Chapter 6 because it spoils nothing. The dates in the toolbar are when they were last edited, hence the inconsistencies.
The joke is I'm probably less than two-thirds of the way through the thing. Figure if I finish it in the next few days though, I got enough time for book three.
But fuck failing. I've almost written two goddamn first drafts already.
